· Classification of the substance or mixture
· Classification according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008
In accordance with article 3 (3) of REACH, this / these item(s) are articles.
An article is not subject to the mandatory marking regulations applicable to dangerous substances.
The product is not classified as hazardous to health or environment according to the CLP regulation.
· Classification according to Directive 67/548/EEC or Directive 1999/45/EC not applicable
· Information concerning particular hazards for human and environment:
For the battery chemical materials are stored in a hermetically sealed metal case, designed to withstand temperatures andpressures encountered during normal use. As a result, during normal use there is no physical danger of ignition orexplosion and chemical danger of hazardous materials leakage.
It may cause heat generation or electrolite leakage if battery terminals contact with other metals. Elektrolyte isflammable. In case of electrolyte leakage move the battery from fire immediately.
However if exposed to a fire, added mechanical shocks, decomposed, added electric stress by miss-use, the gas releasevent will be operated. The battery case will be breaked at the extreme, hazardous materials may be released.
Moreover, if heated strongly by a surrounding fire, acrid gas may be emitted.
The product does not have to be labelled due to the calculation procedure of the "General Classification guideline forpreparations of the EU" in the latest valid version.
· Classification system:
The classification is in line with current EC lists. It is expanded, however, by information from technical literature andby information furnished by supplier companies.
