TOXICOLOGY_SICO PERMETHRIN 50 EC may be used freely for all public health applications with complete safety. Permethrin is of low acute mammalian oral, dermal and inhalation toxicity. The avian toxicity is also low, but Permethrin is highly toxic to fish and bees.

USES AND RECOMMENDATIONS SICO PERMETHRIN 50 EC is a safe insecticide for control of al insect pests in public health, around foodstuffs and on the form. SICO PERMETHRIN 50 EC has the following special features:
Formulated as a concentrate for dilution with water, not expensive solvents. May be used in and around food markets, food preparation areas, kitchens, dairies, farms, hospitals, swimming pools and near water supplies with complete safety. Harmless to man and warm blooded animals.
At the recommended dosage rates it is highly active with a prolonged kil ing effect even in hot climate and does not degrade on exposure to sunlight.
Gives rapid control of flying and crawling insects, including mosquitoes via impregnation of bed nets.
Dilute only with clean water. Always add concentrate to water and stir. Prepare a fresh solution when required. Do not store diluted insecticide. Suitable for application with all types of surface spraying equipment.
APPLICATION RATES Mix 8 ml of SICO PERMETHRIN 50 EC with 360 ml of water. Nets to be treated must first be washed, cleaned and then placed in a suitable plastic container or bag. Soak the net thoroughly in the plastic container with the mixture of SICO PERMETHRIN 50 EC and after soaking remove, hanging the net in the shade to dry. When dry, the net is ready to use.
Note: nets should be re-treated every six months.
PRECAUTIONS Use only as directed, do not mix with other chemicals or proprietary products.
Wear a suitable spray mask and goggles when working in spray mist.
Wash concentrate from skin or eyes immediately.
Wash hands and exposed skin before meals and after work.
Do not apply directly to foodstuffs or surfaces on which food is stored, prepared or eaten. Protect food preparing equipment and eating utensils from contamination during application.
Remove exposed milk and col ect eggs before application.
Protect milk machinery and milk containers from contamination during application.
Dangerous to fish. Do not contaminate ponds, waterways or ditches with SICO PERMETHRIN 50 EC or used container.
Dispose of empty containers safely, never re-use them for food or water storage.
