Raptors Coaches Open House Coach of the Month (the “Contest”)
Rules & Regulations (“Contest Rules”)

No Purchase Necessary. Participation in the Contest constitutes full and unconditional
agreement and acceptance of these Contest Rules, which are final on all matters relating to the
Contest.
1. Contest
The Contest runs between, Sunday, September 1st, 2012 and Friday, March 1st, 2013 (the “Contest Period”). The Contest closes at 11:59:59 p.m. (Eastern
Time) on Thursday, February 28, 2013 (the “Contest Closing Date”).

2. Eligibility: No Purchase necessary. To nominate a coach, visit
www.coachesopenhouse.ca any time during the Contest Period, follow the Toronto
Raptors Coach of the Month submission link and fully complete and submit the online
form, including the “Coaches Name” (the “Nominee”) entry field, to enter your coach.
Nominators must identify the minor basketball coach who will participate in a prize in the
event that nominee is selected. In order to nominate a coach, both the entrant and the
coach of the team must be 18 years of age or older and have their home address within
50 miles of the City of Toronto. Employees (and their immediate families and those with
whom they are domiciled) of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. (“MLSE”) and the
National Basketball Association and its Member Teams (the “NBA”), NBA Enterprises
Canada, and each of their respective employees (and their immediate families and those
with whom they are domiciled), subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors,
agents, their advertising and promotional agencies are not eligible to enter or to be
nominated.
How To Enter:

Nominate a coach at www.coachesopenhouse.ca for one of the months listed in the table below
(each a “Coach of the Month”) no later than the date indicated (the “Entry Deadline Date”)
and that coach will be automatically entered for a chance to win the prize awarded for that
month.

In order to be eligible to win a prize, entries must be received during the Contest Period. Limit of
one (1) entry/nomination per person

All entries will become the property of the Contest Sponsors and will not be returned. Entries
which are incomplete or fraudulent are null and void. Multiple entries using the same email
account or using any device to play multiple times or as multiple contestants will result in
disqualification. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified
by reverse domain name search. Potential winners may be requested to provide Contest
Sponsors with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail
address associated with the selected entry. By entering the Contest, you agree to be bound by
the decisions of the Contest Sponsors, which are final with respect to all matters relating to the
Contest. The Contest Sponsors accept no responsibility for entries which are lost, misdirected
or delayed for any reason. Nor is any responsibility assumed for incorrect or inaccurate capture
of entry information, including (but not limited to), malfunction, human error, lost/delayed/garbled

4. Prizes:
Available to be won are six (6) Grand Prizes, one (1) per month, each
consisting of the following:
 Three (3) tickets for one (1) adult and two (2) children (children must be under the age of 17 to be eligible to attend), to attend a select Toronto Raptors Home Game in a suite during the month of March (exact date and suite TBD by MLSE). Approximate retail value of each Grand Prize is $360 CDN. Odds of winning a Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received for the
applicable Draw prior to the applicable Entry Deadline Date. A coach is only eligible to receive
one (1) Grand Prize. Prize may not be substituted (except by Contest Sponsors at their sole
discretion) and is non-transferable, nor redeemable for cash. All incidental costs and expenses
not specifically referred to as being included in the Grand Prize, including, but not limited to,
transportation to and from Air Canada Centre, food, beverages, souvenir items, etc. shall be the
responsibility of the participants.
Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged for cash or otherwise,
except at the sole discretion of Contest Sponsors. In the event that the Grand Prize cannot be
fulfilled as described herein, Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute an alternate prize
of equal or greater monetary value at their sole discretion.
The Prizes do not include transportation to and from Air Canada Centre, food, beverages, souvenirs and
items of a personal nature and any fees or other expenses not expressly included in the Prize
descriptions in these Contest Rules are the sole responsibility of the winners and his/her guest.
5. Draw:
Each eligible Grand Prize winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received for the applicable Coach of the Month prior to the Deadline Dates indicated above, at the offices of MLSE at or about the following times for each respective dates: Coach of the Month

Eligible entries that are not selected will not be carried over from one Draw Date to the next.
The selected entrants will be contacted within twenty-four (24) hours following the drawing
either by telephone or by e-mail at the telephone number or e-mail address, as the case may
be, provided by the entrant in connection with the Coach of the Month nomination. Before being
confirmed as a winner, the selected entrant will be required to correctly answer, unaided, a time-
limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by MLSE, return the executed
declaration and release documents provided by Contest Sponsors (for both the entrant and the
nominated coach) and confirm his/her eligibility. If the selected entrant does not meet all of the
Contest conditions, fails to answer the skill-testing question correctly, does not return the
executed declaration and release form(s) required by MLSE within such time limits imposed by
MLSE or contact cannot be made within forty-eight (48) hours of first contact by MLSE, that
entry may be disqualified and MLSE shall be entitled to select a new name from all remaining
eligible entries. MLSE is not responsible, whether as a result of human error or otherwise, for
any failure to contact any potential winner. Once declared the winner, selected entrants will be
directed as to how to claim his/her prize.

Each guest of a Grand Prize winner (hereinafter a “Participant”) (or his/her parent/legal guardian
if entrant is under 18) must sign a waiver and release in favour of the Released Parties (defined
below) prior to being permitted to participate in a Grand Prize.
6. General
Each prize must be accepted as awarded and no prize substitutions of cash or otherwise or transfer of the prize will be made or permitted, provided that the MLSE may make prize substitutions of equal or greater value. Prizes may not be exactly as shown in contest publicity or promotional materials. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. No telephone contact or correspondence will be entered into except with potential prize winners. By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the use of his/her name, image, photograph, voice statement(s) and city of residence, without further compensation, for any and all publicity purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media used by Contest Sponsors, the NHL Entities, and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, agents, their advertising and promotional agencies. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations and shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by these rules and regulations and all decisions of Contest Sponsors, which decisions are final with respect to all matters relating to the Contest, including (without limitation) the selection of the Grand Prize winners. All decisions made by the Contest judges with respect to any aspect of this Contest are final. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Contest Sponsors,
the NBA, NBA Enterprises Canada and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors,
officers, governors, agents, their advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the
Released Parties”) against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named
or described with respect to or arising out of either: (i) entrant’s participation in the Contest; (ii)
the receipt or use of the prizes awarded herein; or (iii) the administration of the Contest (including winner selection) and distribution of the prizes awarded herein. Entrants hereby release, waive and discharge any and all claims of damage, loss or causes of
action (including, negligence), including (but not limited to) death, personal injury or loss or
damage to property, which the entrant or any of the entrant’s representatives, heirs, next of kin
or assignees (“Entrant’s Representatives”) may have or which may hereinafter accrue to the
entrant or Entrant Representatives against the Released Parties as a result of the entrant’s
participation in the Contest or the receipt or use of the Prize(s) awarded herein.
The following are prohibited and will result in automatic disqualification from the Contest: (1) using any method that artificially increases odds of winning; (2) non-compliance with these Contest Rules; and (3) any other act which MLSE determines, in its sole discretion, jeopardizes the integrity of the contest. Contest Sponsors are not responsible for any printing, distribution or production errors, or for any late, lost or misdirected entries. Contest Sponsors may terminate, modify, suspend or withdraw from this Contest (and/or any aspect thereof, including methods for selection of the prize winners), in whole or in part, at any time without notice for any reason, without liability, at their sole discretion. Contest Sponsors do not assume any responsibility for tampering, theft, defects, viruses, human errors including negligence, deletions, technical or telephone, computer line, network, server, access providers, computer equipment or software problems, undeliverable messages, computer errors, lost, misdirected, late or incomplete entries or inaccurate capture of information or any online difficulties that may result in damage or malfunction the computer or the failure of MLSE to process any entry and otherwise award any prize. Nor is responsibility assumed for printing errors appearing in these rules or related Contest materials. In addition, MLSE will not assume any responsibility of any nature whatsoever in all cases where their inability to hold the Contest or to remit the prizes to the winners results from a cause beyond their control, including Acts of God, weather conditions, strike, lock-out or other labour dispute. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should an attempt be made, MLSE reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
