Symptoms of Acute Exposure

This product is a cholinesterase inhibitor. If cholinesterase inhibition is suspected, atropine by injection is antidotal. Pralidoxime chloride (2-PAM) is NOT recommended as an antidote for this compound. Thiocarbamates have been shown in laboratory animals to cause a disulfiram (Antabuse) –type reaction in combination with alcohol. Unusual Fire, Explosion, and Reactivity Hazards

This product is not considered flammable. However, under fire conditions, it may decompose to give off toxic materials. 3. COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS

Only the identities of the active ingredient(s) and any hazardous inert ingredients are listed. Specific information on all of this product's ingredients can be obtained by the treating medical professional or spill emergency responder for the management of exposures, spills, or safety assessments. 4. FIRST AID MEASURES

If on skin or
clothing
• Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. • Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice. Product Name: Eptam 20-G
Revision Date: 1/3/2007
4. FIRST AID MEASURES (cont.)

If in eyes
• Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. • Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. • Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice. If inhaled
• If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth, if possible. • Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice. If swallowed
• Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. • Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. • Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison control center or doctor. • Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Note to Physician
Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage. This product contains EPTC, a thiocarbamate that inhibits cholinesterase. If symptoms of cholinesterase inhibition are present, atropine by injection is antidotal. Pralidoxime chloride (2-PAM) is NOT recommended as an antidote for this compound. Thiocarbamates have been shown in laboratory animals to cause a disulfiram (Antabuse) - type reaction in combination with alcohol. Have the product container or label with you when calling a poison control center or doctor, or going for treatment. FOR MEDICAL EMERGENCIES INVOLVING THIS PRODUCT, CALL TOLL FREE: (888) 478-0798
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Flammability

Appropriate Extinguishing Media

Use standard firefighting techniques in extinguishing fires involving this product. High-pressure water hose may spread product from broken containers increasing contamination hazards. Contaminated buildings, areas and equipment must not be use until they are properly decontaminated. Fire Fighting Guidance

This product is not considered flammable. However, under fire conditions, it may decompose to give off toxic materials. A self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing should be worn in fire conditions. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

In Case of Spills or Leaks
A small spill can be handled routinely. Use adequate ventilation and wear an air-supplied respirator to prevent inhalation. Wear suitable protective clothing and eye protection to prevent skin and eye contact. Sweep up spilled material being careful not to create dust. Place sweepings in an open drum. Generously cover the contaminated areas with common household powdered detergent. Using a stiff brush and small amounts of water, work the detergent into the remaining spilled material forming a slurry. Brush the slurry into cracks and crevices and allow to stand for 2-3 minutes. Be careful to completely avoid skin or eye contact. Do not splatter on oneself or bystanders. Spread a suitable absorbent such as clay, sawdust or kitty litter on the slurry liquid. Sweep up and shovel into waste drums. Repeat if necessary. Rinse with small amount of water and use absorbent to collect the wash solution. Shovel into the open drum. Seal drum and dispose in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements. Large spills should be handled according to a spill plan. 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling
Prevent skin and eye contact with this material. Avoid inhalation of spray mist. Wash with soap and water immediately after use or contact. Do not eat, drink, or smoke in areas where the material is being used. Keep container closed when not in use. Store in a cool, dry place. Do not store near seeds, fertilizers, or foodstuffs. Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal. Product Name: Eptam 20-G
Revision Date: 1/3/2007
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION

Engineering Controls

Use ventilation adequate to maintain safe levels. This product is intended for use outdoors where engineering controls are not necessary. If use conditions are different (e.g. product reformulation or repackaging), employee exposure should be minimized using traditional techniques such as enclosed system design and/or local exhaust ventilation. Aerial applicators must be in an enclosed cockpit.
Manufacturing and Packaging Employees

Eye/Face
Eye contact with the material should be avoided through the use of chemical safety glasses, goggles or a face shield, selected in regard to exposure potential. Skin Protection
Skin contact should be prevented through the use of footwear, impervious gloves and long-sleeved clothing. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before rewearing. Respiratory Protection
If needed, use MSHA-NIOSH approved respirator for pesticides. Additional Protection
Information

An adequate supply of clean potable water should be available to allow thorough flushing of skin and eyes in event of contact with this compound. Applicators/Handlers
Except when using a belly grinder, applicators and other handlers must wear a long-sleeved shirt and long pants; chemical-resistant gloves such as barrier laminate, or nitrile gloves or neoprene rubber or Viton; shoes and socks. Applicators using a belly grinder (hand-held broadcast spreader) must wear coveralls over long-sleeved shirt and long pants; chemical-resistant gloves such as barrier laminate, butyl rubber, nitrile rubber, neoprene rubber, natural rubber, polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride (PVC), or Viton; chemical resistant footwear and socks. 9.
