Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Rules, 1983
[G.O. Ms. No. 97, Environment and Forests (EC.1), 17th August 2009.] No. SRO A-25/2009.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 64 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (Central Act 6 of 1974), the Governor of Tamil Nadu, after consultation with the Tamil Nadu PollutionControl Board, hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution)Rules, 1983:— In the said Rules, for the Table under Rule 26-A, the following Table shall be substituted, namely:— Rs. 10 croresand uptoRs. 1,000crores).

Ms. No. 666, Home (Cts.IV), 14th August 2009.] No. SRO A-26/2009.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 28 of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 (Central Act 39 of 1987), the Governor of Tamil Nadu, in consultation with the Chief Justice of the High Court, Madras,hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority Rules, 1997:— In the said Rules, in Rule 17, for the expression “Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only)”, the expression “Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only)”, shall be substituted.
Principal Secretary to Government. Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Constabulary Medal Rules.
[G.O. Ms. No. 679, Home (S.C.), 18th August 2009.] No. SRO A-27/2009.—The following amendment is issued to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Constabulary Medal Rules, issued with G.O. Ms. No. 71, Home (SC) Department, dated 12th January 1982 amended upto 9th June 2008:- In the said Rules—for Rule 10, the following rule shall be substituted:— 10. The Medal will carry a monthly allowance of Rs. 100 per month for both Constables and Head Constables.
The above allowance will be paid even if a recipient is promoted to a higher rank after the award of the medal and
till his retirement.

2. The revised rule will be applicable from 1st August 2009.
Principal Secretary to Government. Amendments to List of Drugs to be maintained in Garden Hospitals and Dispensaries in Plantations under
Tamil Nadu Plantations Labour Rules, 1955.

Ms. No. 49, Labour and Employment (I 2), 21st May 2009.] No. SRO A-28/2009.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Rules 23 and 24 of the Tamil Nadu Plantations Labour Rules, 1955, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Industries, Labour and Housing(Labour) Department, Notification III No. 1164 of 1966, dated the 18th May 1966, published at pages 1489 to 1499 ofPart III of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 7th September 1966, as subsequently amended:— (1) in clause (iii), for sub-clause (2), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:— “(2) Stocking of Medicines:
(i) Every Garden hospital and dispensary must maintain separate stock register and stocks of medicines.
(ii) Garden hospitals should use cold boxes with ice bags for preserving and transporting vaccines and preservable medicines, instead of using refrigerators. Independent dispensaries other than Garden hospitals must have refrigerators.
Vaccines should be kept under strict cold chain in order to protect the potency of drugs and guard them againstcontaminations”. and (2) for Annexures III and IV, the following Annexures, shall respectively, be substituted, namely:— List of Drugs to be maintained in Garden Hospitals
