The goal of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE Rehabilitation in Children after of Computerized Cognitive Rehabilitation Training (CCRT) in improving neuropsychological performance and psychiatric outcomes in Ugandan children who survive severe malaria and to evaluate whether severity of malaria illness (e.g., immunological brain inflammation, EEG abnormalities) is predictive of neuropsychological benefit from CCRT. Determinants of Malaria Disease INTERNAL MEDICINE, The main goal of this research is to establish a self- sustaining research entity capable of developing the scientific basis for designing, implementing, and evaluating malaria control and prevention strategies and to identify, understand and evaluate interventions that target the determinants of malaria disease by systematically surveying populations of vectors, hosts and parasites using newly developed molecular and genomic tools in conjunction with well-established International Projects: Health and Nurtrition

Enhancing Ugandan HIV-Affected PSYCHIATRY OSTEOPATHIC In the face of economic instability and nutritional, medical OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE Child Development with Caregiver MEDICINE; and educational deprivation, HIV-affected very young children are the most vulnerable HIV subgroup globally because their families are often the most vulnerable, with little margin for sustaining a favorable developmental milieu for the child. Through strategic caregiver interventions during this sensitive period of child neurodevelopment, our study findings have the potential for positively re-directing the developmental trajectories of tens of millions of HIV-affected children globally.
