Celebrex - a campaign to boost the profile of Celebrex by creating a set
of clinical tools devised for clients Pharmacia and Pfizer to help healthcare
professionals in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis.
The situation
The client needed a method of communicating information about both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis
while keeping their arthritis drug, Celebrex, at the forefront of doctors’ minds when diagnosing The presentation had to be simple to use, clear, informative and also needed to include the names
of the clients.
Remarkable’s role
Remarkable devised two different tools. The first was a cleverly-executed A4 gate-fold diagnosis aid.
It contained vital step-by-step information for the diagnosis of either type of arthritis. When a patient
presented with the symptoms, the doctor could use the tool to work through each symptom and
begin the investigations, with the final step being referral and treatment options. On one side of the
aid was information about osteoarthritis, on the other; rheumatoid arthritis.
The second tool supported the diagnosis aid and helped healthcare professionals communicate the
symptoms and possible treatments to patient. A pack was devised which contained A4 pads; Following
had large, clear and simple diagrams of the knee, hip and hand joints. Using these diagrams as a basis, doctors could tear off one of the pages and use it to draw annotations of their own Putting to each individual patient how the condition might be affecting them. In addition, the pack also included simply written and informative fact sheets on the two types of arthritis, which T given to the patient for them to take away. Benefit/Risk Evidence:
Each pack also contained a CD ROM for either rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis: templates for two different types of referral letter as well as a section on the NICE guidelines on Outcomes
Both of these clinical aids were produced in thousands and both were reprinted due to the high
